New Delhi: Amid the ongoing fight between the Taliban and the Panjshir resistance in Afghanistan to form a government, Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the armed forces have achieved unprecedented success in the fight against terrorism. Addressing a ceremony held in connection with Defence and Martyrs' Day at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Monday night, Bajwa said, "The Armed Forces, with the support of the nation, have achieved unprecedented successes in the fight against terrorism and in bringing normalcy to the country".
Addressing further, Bajwa spoke on the Kashmir conflict and reaffirmed the Pakistan army's support to the people of Kashmir. "The world must know that without peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue, peace and stability will remain elusive in the region", he added.
Further, the Chief of Pakistan's Armed Forces appreciated the Pakistan militia and said that they are capable to fight all external and internal threats in a befitting manner and that Pakistan has achieved self-sustainability in defence capabilities and made the country's defence impenetrable. The Army Chief added the Armed Forces, with the support of the nation, have achieved unprecedented successes in the fight against terrorism and in bringing normalcy to the country.
