New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled that it will be open to the state to give another chance to Shiksha Mitra teachers to compete for selection as assistant basic teachers in Uttar Pradesh.
The bench led by Justice UU Lalit pronounced the verdict in response to plea filed by Uttar Pradesh Shikshamitra Association in which the court had reserved its order on July 24 after days of hearing the case.
They had filed the plea against the cut off marks raised by the Uttar Pradesh state after the exam for recruitiment of 69,000 assistant teachers in 2019 was held.
