Nalgonda (Telangana):When the rest of the country was celebrating Raksha Bandhan, five sisters in Telangana's Nalgonda district tied rakhis on the wrist of their dead brother, minutes before his body was taken out in a procession for funeral rites.

The heart-wrenching incident took place in Malagudem village. Chinthapally Lakshmaiah, 50, died on Sunday following an illness. The family members decided to perform his last rites on the same day. However, as it was Raksha Bandhan, his five sisters tied rakhis on his wrist to shower their love on him for one last time. The scene left the entire village mourning.
