Bhubaneswar:The Odisha government has extended the lockdown restrictions till June 1. People are, however, allowed to buy essential commodities from 7 am to 11 am on weekdays. There will be a complete lockdown on weekends, the government said.
During this period, a maximum of 25 people will be allowed to participate in marriage functions. Government offices will function with 10 per cent staff and private/corporate and civil society sector will function with 33 per cent staff. The government said door-to-door survey will be carried out in rural pockets.

During weekdays, roadside and standalone shops dealing with food and essential items, vegetables, fish, meat, eggs and milk are allowed to operate from 7 am to 11 pm. Such shops are directed to maintain a minimum distance of 30 feet between them. The shopkeepers and buyers shall mandatorily abide by the COVID-19 safety protocols such as social distancing and use of masks, an official notification of the state government said.
Daily and weekly haats will be prohibited, it said.
