New Delhi: The Supreme Court bench led by the Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana, adjourned the pleas seeking an inquiry into Pegasus snooping for tomorrow asking the Solicitor General to inform if the government wants to file a detailed affidavit on the usage of Pegasus or not.
The bench, also comprising of Justice Surya Kant and Justice Aniruddha Bose, was told by the Central government today that they deny the allegations pertaining to Pegasus snooping but also did not say if the government or any of its agency ever used Pegasus.
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the matter pertains to national security and asked whether the petitioners will withdraw their case if he gave the answers to the court through affidavits.
