New Delhi:New Delhi: As the curtains closed on the G20 Summit this Sunday, India's External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar, lauded the New Delhi G20 Leaders Declaration for its ability to table innovative ideas, shape global agendas, foster international consensus, and bridge divides. In a post shared on X formerly Twitter, Jaishankar emphasized the Summit's unwavering commitment to the Global South and the spotlight it placed on contemporary accomplishments throughout the two-day event.
"The G20 Summit and its series of bilateral meetings drew to a successful conclusion today in the heart of New Delhi. The New Delhi Declaration stands as a testament to our Presidency's capability to present fresh perspectives, influence global discourse, facilitate collaboration, and promote unity. Our unwavering focus remained steadfast on the Global South, where we showcased our rich cultural heritage alongside our modern-day achievements," Minister Jaishankar shared on X.
Jaishankar, while highlighting the conclusion of the G20 Summit, pointed out significant initiatives that emerged during the event, including the establishment of the Global Biofuel Alliance and the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC).
"The G20 Summit yielded pivotal outcomes, including the Green Development Pact and an Action Plan on Sustainable Development Goals, the formulation of high-level principles to combat corruption, strong support for the development of Digital Public Infrastructure, and a commitment to reform Multilateral Development Banks. Notably, the inclusion of the African Union within the G20 framework stands as a major milestone. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visionary leadership provided the Summit with a clear trajectory for growth and development in the years to come," Jaishankar detailed on X.
