Mumbai Court refuses anticipatory bail plea of Sherlyn Chopra in Pornography case

The Mumbai sessions court dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of Bollywood Actress Sherlyn Chopra, who was arrested on the basis of the alleged involvement in the Porn racket case along with co-accused Raj Kundra.

Mumbai/Hyderabad: The Mumbai sessions court on Thursday dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of Bollywood Actress Sherlyn Chopra, who was arrested on the basis of the alleged involvement in the Porn racket case along with co-accused Raj Kundra.

Earlier, Chopra was summoned by the property cell of the Crime Branch to record her statement in connection with a pornography case, after which she filed an anticipatory bail plea in Bombay high court before appearing at the Crime Branch.

Chopra was arrested on the basis of the FIR registered in February 2021 for offences of sale of obscene material, transmission of sexually explicit material and provisions of the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
