New Delhi:Anurag Maloo has been rescued alive from Mount Annapurna. Speaking to news agency ANI Mingma Sherpa from Seven Summit Treks confirmed that he is presently receiving treatment at Manipal Hospital and is under doctor's supervision.
Anurag Maloo was part of the trekking group with Baljeet Kaur after he fell down into a crevasse at 6,000m. Kaur had also gone missing but was then rescued alive. Maloo is a resident of Kishangadh in Rajasthan. The mountaineers were descending from Camp III of Mt. Annapurna on Monday.
Rajasthan's Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Ashok Chandna wrote a letter to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot informing him about Anurag being missing from the expedition. The Minister also urged the Ministry of External Affairs to speed up the search operation.
