MK Stalin cancels defamation cases filed against political leaders

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has ordered the cancellation of defamation cases filed against 130 political leaders in the state. The Tamil Nadu government cancelled the cases registered during the Jallikattu protest and the Sterlite protest.

Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin has ordered the cancellation of defamation cases filed against 130 political leaders in the state. The Tamil Nadu government cancelled the cases registered during the Jallikattu protest and the Sterlite protest. At present, TN Chief Minister Stalin had ordered to cancel all the defamation cases filed on 130 TN political leaders from the year 2012- 2021.

As per the order issued by the TN Chief Minister, the defamation cases filed on DMDK leader Vijayakanth, his wife Premalatha Vijayakanth, Congressmen EVKS Elangovan, Vijayatharani, former state secretary of the Marxist Communist Party G. Ramakrishnan, K. N. Nehru, S.M. Nassar, MP Kanimozhi, MP Dhayanithi Maran from DMK were cancelled.
