Contrary to claims made by the accused's mother, the girl's father said that he had filed an application at the Asandara police station on August 16, alleging that a strongman from the village took money from a family and got his minor daughter married to the accused youth. He further said that his daughter had stayed in the accused's house for nearly seven months, and it was during this time that the accused along with four others, including the strongman had allegedly gang-raped and impregnated her. The father also said that his daughter was threatened with dire consequences and physically assaulted to undergo an abortion.
On the complaint of the victim's father, the Asandra police station has registered a case against all the accused. Now, the Circle Officer of Barabanki's Ram Sanehi Ghat city, Pankaj Singh said that the matter is very serious as the woman has delivered a baby. Hence, a DNA test of all the accused will be conducted to ascertain the biological father of the child.
