New Delhi: The Union ministry of housing and urban affairs has sent yet another notice to the former president of the Lok Janshakti Party and Lok Sabha MP Chirag Paswan asking him to vacate the government residence, which was allotted to his late father Ram Vilas Paswan during his reign.
According to the sources, the latest notice was sent to Chirag on July 14, in reply to which, he asked for a prolongation of order till his father's first death anniversary. Since, there is a provision that after death or losing the election, the bungalow has to be vacated within 3 or 6 months. The ministry did not provide any mitigation in the matter.

This bungalow was being allotted to Pashupati Paras, a minister in the central government and Chirag's uncle, but he refused to take this bungalow, saying that it would send a wrong message. A total of five MPs, including Paras, rebelled against the party and staged a political coup in June. The rebel MPs chose Paras as the leader of the party instead of Chirag. Paras himself became the national president after meeting with the executive members of his faction in LJP.
A few days ago there was a break in the Lok Janshakti Party. A total of five LJP MPs separated with Chirag's uncle and MP Pashupati Paras. The MPs made Paras the leader of the parliamentary party in place of Chirag Paswan. Pashupati Paras became the LJP's national president by meeting with the people of his faction. Chirag Paswan also called a meeting of the LJP's national executive in which 95 per cent of the party members were present. Chirag described himself as the national president.

As of now, LJP is divided into two camps. One group is of Pashupati Paras and the other group is of Chirag Paswan. Both the factions are calling themselves the real LJP. The matter is currently with the Election Commission. At the same time, Pashupati Paras has become a cabinet minister in the central government from the LJP quota. Because of this, Chirag is said to be angry with the BJP. It is also clear that BJP is with Paras.
