Migrant labourers not getting the benefit of ONORC scheme: INTUC

New Delhi: The National President of the Indian National Trade Union Congress, KN Tripathi, has raised questions on the central government's ambitious 'One Nation One Ration Card' scheme. In a video message, he said that migrant labourers are not getting the benefit of this scheme.

Tripathi said that the black marketing of foodgrains is happening on a large scale. He said that migrant labourers only keep checking their thumb impression and signature only while their share of the foodgrains is sold in black.

He urged the Union government that the matter of foodgrain distribution should be left to the states.
