New Delhi: Mahila Congress took out a flash protest in front of the Prime Minister's residence here on Thursday. The development comes after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday slammed the government over the rising price of domestic cooking gas, diesel and petrol, and alleged that an amount of Rs 23 lakh crore has been earned by increasing prices of these commodities in the last seven years.
Holding black balloons, the Mahila Congress workers raised slogans against the government but were stopped by the police.
Mahila Congress takes out flash protest in front of PM's residence Rahul Gandhi during his press conference on Wednesday flayed the government stating that the government has come up with a new concept of GDP, wherein a rise in GDP means a rise in prices of Gas, Diesel and Petrol.
The former Congress chief alleged that the government has earned Rs 23 lakh crore from increasing prices of gas, diesel and petrol in the last seven years, and said the people of the country should ask where is this money going.
