First solar eclipse of the year on June 10

In India, the solar eclipse will be partial in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh and the full eclipse will be witnessed in North America, Canada, Europe and Russia.

Hyderabad: After the sightings of the supermoon, blood moon and the lunar eclipse, now the solar eclipse can be witnessed on June 10 between 01.42 PM to 06.41 PM, media reports quoting Nasa said.

It will be the first solar eclipse of 2021.

In India, it can be seen partially in the northeastern state of Arunachal Pradesh and the full eclipse will be witnessed in North America, Canada, Europe and Russia.

Also known as the 'Ring of Fire', the phenomenon happens when the moon comes between the Sun and the Earth. The annular solar eclipse occurs when the Moon is farthest from the Earth. Due to its distance from the planet, the moon is unable to completely block the sunlight. Hence the sunlight appears in the form of 'Ring of Fire'.

Reports say, the second solar eclipse of 2021 will take place on December 4.
