Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala's first drive-through vaccination was opened here Thursday. The 24x7 drive-through vaccination hub was started at Government Women's College in Thiruvananthapuram with the state government deciding to provide maximum vaccination, including during the Onam holidays.
The facility has the unique feature of providing vaccination to people travelling in vehicles. Vaccines will be provided to those who register online.

Kerala Wednesday reported 21,427 new Covid-19 cases, taking the infection count to 7,25,005. It also reported 179 deaths.
More than half of the Covid cases reported in the country are in Kerala. There have also been recurrences of the virus in vaccinated people in the state. This is more prevalent among the young people than the aged. The Department of Health has found that people between the ages of 20 and 30 are more likely to report re-infection.
