Thrissur: Childhood fascination for flying and later developing a passion for building aircraft turned a young man into social media star in Thrissur. Mithun's hunger to excel in making a tiny aircraft with limited equipment is what made him equally unique.

Two years ago Mithun, an aluminum fabrication worker from Manakkodi, began making aircraft during his spare time and now produced five to six types of planes. However, it is only six months ago that these planes successfully made their way into the air.

Spectators erupted in joy as his aircraft started taking off and performed few manoeuvres at the Arimpur School ground in Trissur.

Little wonder, Mithun's passion for making aircraft has now turned him a star on social media.
