Calicut: Activist Bindu Ammini, the first woman to enter Sabarimala Temple in Kerala, was attacked by an unidentified man again at Calicut North beach around 4 pm on Wednesday. A drunkard Man attacked her at Kozhikode beach.
Koyilandi Police have identified the person as Mohandas, a native of Beypore, Calicut. The fisherman was under the influence of alcohol. Police said he was also injured in the clash. After recording the detailed statement of the complainant on Thursday, action will be taken and he might be arrested. Police have already registered a case against him as per the complaints registered against him by Bindu.
According to police, the dispute over parking ended in a scuffle. Police said," the attacker was a young man who arrived on a scooter. Both were injured in the scuffle." Bindu Ammini herself posted the video of the assault on her Facebook page. She also beats him up to safeguard herself. Bindu Ammini was also seen in video throwing his phone. The case was registered under sections 323 and 509 of the IPC and assault on women.
