Bengaluru:After swearing-in as Karnataka's Chief Minister, pressure has mounted on Basavaraja Bommai over the appointment of his teammates in the Cabinet. Even though no particular date of the ministers induction has been announced yet, Bommai is likely to visit New Delhi tomorrow.
"I have talked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought an appointment. If the high command gives an appointment then I will go to Delhi tomorrow. The visit to Delhi will be to meet PM, Home Minister and Defence Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party president and I will not discuss about Cabinet team," said Bommai.
Shettar decides not to be Minister
Meanwhile former chief minister Jagadish Shettar has informed the party that he would not like to become a minister in the new Cabinet. From the ministerial post, Shettar was elevated as CM in 2012. He served as minister in the previous BS Yediyurappa government. Reportedly, Shettar is refraining from being a minister as Bommai is junior to him.
