Hyderabad: If you think the notorious Pegasus spyware allegedly used to spy only on some of the leading opposition leaders, journalists and businessmen in the country, then think again. New revelations have now surfaced pointing to that even top Judges, advocates and senior officials in the Supreme Court are not spared. A mobile number which former Supreme Court Justice Arun Mishra once used was in the list of potential targets of snooping through the Isreali Pegasus.
Justice Mishra retired on September 3, 2020 — the report quoted him as saying that he had surrendered the cellphone number on April 21, 2014.
According to a leading news web portal that brought the entire snooping incident to limelight has reported: "Sometime in the spring of 2019, the telephone numbers of two officers from the Supreme Court’s registry were entered onto a secret list that contained hundreds of numbers, including some which show clear evidence of being targeted with Pegasus spyware."
