Chennai(Tamil Nadu): A journalist who had reported on illegal land grabbers was allegedly murdered in Chennai on Sunday night.
Three men have been arrested and the search of another man, Navamani, who is the prime suspect, in this case, is underway, according to the police.
The journalist, identified as Moses (28), who was associated with a private television channel, was stabbed to death in Chennai.
Six months ago, the journalist exposed news on illegal grabbing of land near the lake at Padianallur area.
Journalist stabbed to death in Chennai Moses had previously received death threats and his father had lodged a complaint with the police. But, no action was taken by the police.
Moses' father later claimed that any journalist who tried to expose land grabbing issues in the area would face the same fate. He refused to accept his son's body and demanded an investigation in the case. According to his father, Yesudasan, Moses was lying outside with blood shattered all over his body.
Journalist Moses was stabbed several times by three unidentified persons while he was returning home. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died.
A case has been registered in Somangalam police station and further investigations are underway.
