Shopian: Militants on Friday attacked a joint party of police and CRPF in the Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said. No loss of life or injury has been reported so far in the incident.
A police official said the militants fired upon the joint party of police and CRPF at Aglar in the Zainapora area of the south Kashmir district around noon. The area has been cordoned off and a hunt has been launched to nab the attackers, the official added.

A person from Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) has been apprehended by the Army along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district on Sunday night, informed the Indian Army on Monday.
On the same day, five-kilogram explosive material was recovered by the security forces from an orchard near Tral.
According to police, based on a specific intelligence input regarding the transport of warlike stores in Soyimuh near Tral in Pulwama district, a joint team of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), JKP and CRPF launched a deliberate search at Soyimuh Orchard at 10:45 am and recovered 5 kilogram explosive material.

The police said that the recovered material has been sent for further forensic analysis.
"This recovery is the outcome of ongoing efforts of Security Forces to thwart any attempts by terrorists to destabilise peace and development in South Kashmir," the police said.
Earlier on Sunday, seven civilians sustained injuries as terrorists hurled a grenade on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Naka party at a bus stand in Pulwama's Tral.
