In an interview with a media company, James revealed his views about Artificial Intelligence. He said he believes that the 'weaponisation' of Artificial Intelligence will lead to catastrophic consequences.

I warned you in 1984, but you didn't pay attention. The story of 'The Terminator' revolves around Skynet, a cybernetic assassin created by a supercomputer." James Cameron believes that weaponisation of Artificial Intelligence will make it more dangerous. It was signed by more than 1,000 experts, including Twitter CEO Elon Musk and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. The letter was released in the name of 'Pause Giant AI Experiments'.
