Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh):Even as the former state minister Jaivardhan Singh's visit to the Gwalior Chambal region will soon, many top BJP leaders are reportedly keeping an eye on the former's visit. Singh's emergence to the forefront in state politics assumes significance in the light of the Gwalior Chambal region, considered the bastion of Jyotiraditya Scindia.
In his interaction with ETV Bharat, Jaivardhan Singh came down heavily on CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, alleging that the BJP government in the state failed to provide relief to the flood victims in the region. All districts of the Gwalior Chambal zone have been badly affected by the recent floods. "It was expected that Shivraj Singh Chouhan would provide relief to the flood victims, but the situation has improved little. There are still hundreds of villages out there where no survey has been done," Jaivardhan said.

"It is a matter of regret that when there was a flood in the region, the Shivraj government was busy celebrating other festivals," the Congress leader added. He also slammed the decision of the MP government in getting images of the CM and PM printed on the food grain bags, adding that Congress too had earlier distributed food grains to people sans images of leaders.
