New Delhi: Indian National Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has raised the issue of discrepancies in the vaccination of the age group of 18 to 44 years.
The former union minister of Environment and Forest raised the issues on Twitter, posing three questions on the government's vaccination drive.
He asked why is the total vaccination in the 18 to 44 year age group has only 86,023 beneficiaries on May 2. He also questioned why only 11 states were able to vaccinate in the same age group.
The Rajya Sabha MP also highlighted that 60 percent of all 18 to 44 age group vaccinations on May 2 were done in Gujarat.

A day earlier, Jairam Ramesh was also seen in a Twitter spat with Minister of External Affairs, Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. The spat erupted after Indian Youth Congress delivered an oxygen cylinder to the Embassy of the Philippines. Terming the act 'cheap publicity', EAM Jaishankar tweeted against the wasteful use of oxygen. The minister claimed that he verified the matter with the concerned embassy.
Jairam Ramesh immediately jumped in and tweeted to the EAM, "Please do your job instead of heckling at those who help the needy".
