J&K: Two militant associates arrested with arms and ammunition

The accused was arrested by security forces along with arms and ammunition. The recovery comprise a pistol, two grenades and 51 rounds.

Srinagar:Security forces on Sunday arrested two militant associates from Kulgam and Srinagar districts of Jammu and Kashmir and recovered arms and ammunition from them. and recovered a pistol and two grenades from his possession in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The police said incriminating material, arms and ammunition, including two pistols, two grenades and 51 pistol rounds were recovered from their possession. Kashmir Zone police's tweet said,

Talking of the second arrest, of one Sheikh Sahid Gulzar of Muchhwa, the Srinagar police tweeted,

A case has been registered under relevant sections, they added. Officials had earlier explained that a militant associate carries out a task given to him by his handlers and then goes back to his normal work, waiting for the next assignment. The affiliation and involvement of the accused militant associate is being ascertained by the police.
