Gadag, (Karnataka):The situation in Afghanistan has been in turmoil since the Taliban took control of the country. Many Indians, including the embassy security guards, were stranded in Afghanistan and living in the Taliban's fear. However, the Central Government is currently working speedily to bring them back to the country by various flights.

Among the soldiers who returned to India was Ravi Nilakar of Balaganur village in the Gadag district of Karnataka. Ravi, who joined the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) 12 years ago, served as the security commander at the Indian Embassy in Afghanistan for the last two years. However, following the take over of the country by the Taliban, the Central government took action and airlifted the ITBP soldiers. These soldiers have safely landed in Delhi. Ravi's family is pleased to hear his news of arriving in the country safely.
