New Delhi: Taking a veiled dig at Pakistan, India on Thursday urged the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to be watchful so that their platform is not used for anti-India propaganda by any vested interests.
Addressing the weekly media briefing here on Thursday, MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, "We conveyed that OIC should be watchful and the platform should not be used for anti-India propaganda by vested interests for comments on internal affairs of India or anti-India propaganda."
The response comes after the meeting that took place between the Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Yousuf Al Oithameen and the Indian ambassador on July 5, earlier this week.
Sharing details of the meeting, MEA spox said that a range of issues was discussed during the meeting. However, the Indian ambassador conveyed the need to correct the misconceptions about India perpetrated by vested interests like Pakistan in OIC.
