Hyderabad:A single-day rise of 38,948 new infections and 219 fatalities push India's COVID-19 tally to 3,30,27,621 and death toll to 4,40,752, as per the Union Health ministry. Statistics show Kerala recorded 26,701 cases and 74 deaths in the last 24 hours. The active caseload have increased to 4,04,874 while the national COVID-19 recovery rate was recorded at 97.44 per cent, according to the data updated at 8 am on Monday.

India reported 38,948 new COVID-19 cases, 43,903 recoveries and 219 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry.

The number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,21,81,995. The cumulative COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive has exceeded 68.75 crore.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 53,14,68,867 samples have been tested up to September 5 for COVID-19. Of these, 14,10,649 samples were tested on Sunday.
