India records 38,079 fresh Covid-19 cases, 560 deaths

India reported 38,079 new COVID-19 cases and 560 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry.

Hyderabad:India reported 38,079 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the data updated by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry at 8 am on Saturday showed. The COVID-19 death toll has climbed to 4,13,091 with 560 fresh fatalities. According to the Health ministry, the overall tally of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 3,10,64,908. There are 4,24,025 active cases at present.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 44,20,21,954 samples have been tested up to July 16 for Covid-19. Of these 19,98,715 samples were tested on Friday. The total vaccine doses administered has reached 39.96 crore under the nationwide vaccination drive.
