Hyderabad: A single-day rise of 39,796 COVID-19 infections, 723 fatalities push India's tally of cases to 3,05,85,229, death toll to 4,02,728, according to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry. Active COVID-19 cases in the country has declined to 4,82,071. According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 42,352 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total discharge to 2,97,00,430 till date.

India reported 39,796 new COVID-19 cases, 42,352 recoveries, and 723 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the Union Health Ministry.

The Health Ministry said that a total of 35,28,92,046 people have been vaccinated so far in the country under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. The ministry said that 15,22,504 tests were conducted on Sunday, taking the total cumulative tests conducted for detection of Covid-19 in the country to 41,97,77,457.
