Hyderabad:India reported 46,617 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours ending at 8am on Friday, according to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry. The COVID-19 death toll rose to 4,00,312 with 853 fresh fatalities.

The overall tally of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 3,04,58,251. The country has 5,09,637 active cases presently. According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 59,384 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total discharge to till date 2,95,48,302.
The Health Ministry said that a total of 34,00,76,232 people have been vaccinated so far in the country under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. Also, 18,80,026 tests were conducted on Thursday, taking the total cumulative tests conducted so far for COVID-19 in the country to 41,42,51,520.
