New Delhi: Heavy rainfall since Tuesday morning has left several areas of Delhi waterlogged. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday also issued an orange alert with the heavy rainfall forecast from September 1 to 4. The incessant downpour also restricted vehicular movement in the national capital. In the month of August, Delhi had recorded 144.7 mm of rainfall which is around 31 per cent below the normal of 209.4 mm for the month, according to the data by IMD.
As per the predictions by the meteorology department rainfall is expected in adjoining areas of Lodhi Road, Indira Gandhi International Airport, Gurugram, Manesar, Faridabad, Noida, Greater Noida, Indirapuram, Loni Dehat, Hindon AF and Ghaziabad within a few hours.
