Charkhi Dadri:A girl from Haryana, who is studying medicine in Ukraine, has refused to leave war-torn Ukraine even though she got an opportunity to get evacuated. She has resolved to stay back in the ravaged country amid bombings to take care of three kids and the wife of her house owner who has gone to fight the war against Russia. She doesn't mind putting her life at risk since Russians are dropping bombs left, right, and center and creating havoc of sorts. "I am not worried about my life," she told her aunt Savitha over the phone and also informed her about living in a bunker.

When Neha first arrived in the east European nation, she was unable to find accommodation at a hostel and decided to rent a space at the house of a construction engineer in the capital Kyiv. Her mother is a school teacher in Charkhi Dadri district while her father, who was in the Indian Army, died some years ago.

Now, the owner of the house, where she has been staying as a paying guest, has voluntarily joined the Ukrainian Army to serve his country during the ongoing war with Russia and the girl is supporting his family. Her brave traits are obvious since she is the daughter of a deceased Indian Armyman.

Explaining the reason behind Neha's reluctance to return to India, her aunt Savita Jakhar said that Neha got attached to the children of the house-owner. "She is ignoring advisories to leave the country as the war is raging and efforts of her mother to bring her back are going in vain," says Savita, adding that Neha was asked to cross over to Romania. "She is unwilling to abandon the house owner's family and overlook our requests," added Savita.

Meanwhile, back in India, politicians are heaping praises on the dare-devil girl who is giving prominence to humanism even at the cost of her life. "Amidst the tough situation in Ukraine, Dadri's daughter has set a great example of humanity. We applaud her spirit and will honor her once she returns to Dadri," said former Minister Satpal Sangwan.

Similarly, the State president of BJP Kisan Morcha Sukhwinder Sheoran also praised her. "The government of Haryana and the Centre are continuously working for the return of the children. Meanwhile, the martyr's daughter has set an example of bravery by deciding to stay there till the end of the war, to save the lives of her house-owner's wife and her three children," he said.
