New Delhi: Punjab Congress is going through a new crisis and meetings are happening between the Congress high command, Punjab Congress Incharge, Harish Rawat and Punjab Congress leaders in Delhi. However, as per the veteran Congress leader and former CM of Uttarakhand, Harish Rawat, the situation in Congress is absolutely fine.
On Friday, Harish Rawat reached the 10 Janpath to meet Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi. The meeting between the two leaders lasted for half an hour. After the end of the meeting, Harish Rawat claimed that the situation in Punjab would be fine. Meanwhile, Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu is once again in the spotlight for making statements that are being perceived as a direct challenge to the Congress central leadership.

However, in response to the question asked about Sidhu's statement, veteran leader Harish Rawat said that he is not aware of the subject and downplayed his statement. The veteran leader was reluctant to share more details about who will be face of Congress in upcoming elections or Captain Amarinder Singh will be the frontman again. On this, Punjab Congress incharge said that any leader, MLA or minister has the freedom to express his opinion but everyone agrees that the decision of the Congress interim president will be final.

He added that all the warring parties have been informed to work together. Everyone should understand and respect each other's feelings. Harish Rawat once again avoided the question of contesting Punjab elections under the leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh and said that whatever update is worth sharing, he will surely oblige.
