New Delhi: Former Congress stalwart leader Jitin Prasada— who has switched his party to Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday— has been greeted by the saffron brigade, asserting that his inclusion would surely make the BJP stronger in the state. BJP, which got a 'trump card' before the Assembly election, took a strong jibe over the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and blamed the 'Gandhi family' for the exclusion of many stalwart leaders including incumbent Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Jyotiraditya Scindia.
In a two-minute video message, BJP Spokesperson Gopal Krishna Agarwal said, "One more stalwart has left the party because of the party leadership. A party can only thrive if they support and respect all their members. Otherwise, it would become a 'sinking ship' like the grand old party."
He further alleged the Gandhi family of running the party like 'dictator' and added the party would have no future if the present leadership continues.
