Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): Former Uttar Pradesh Governor Aziz Qureshi has made yet another controversial remark against Congress brother-sister duo by calling them 'politically immature'.

While speaking to the media, Qureshi said, "Both Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi are not at the age of becoming a leader. Even the party workers are misguiding the party for the sake of their selfishness."

After the death of Rajiv Gandhi and Indira Gandhi, the Congress party has weakened and hence lost its origin, he further added.

Qureshi's statement came amid the ongoing political stir in Congress. Meanwhile, the Congress party will launch its 2022 poll campaign from Varanasi on October 10. Party national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will address a public rally from Jagatpur Inter College ground. The UP Congress made an official announcement of the rally on Friday.

Qureshi has also made a scathing attack on BJP as well, saying, "If BJP wins the third term in Uttar Pradesh, the whole country will be destroyed,"

Meanwhile, he gave brownie points to former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav calling him "the only hope of tomorrow".

Referring to the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, he said that Congress should form an alliance with the Samajwadi Party, to contest against the ruling Yogi-led BJP government.

Similarly, the Samajwadi Party should support Congress in Parliamentary elections, he added.

Aziz is known for making controversial statements. He had earlier said that the terror attack in Pulwama was a pre-planned conspiracy by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to win the Lok Sabha polls.
