Flybig flight to Guwahati canceled due to fuel leak at Patna airport

After getting the information that the plane would not take off for Guwahati, the passengers created a ruckus. The plane arrived at around 5:45 pm on Tuesday evening and was to take off at 6:15 pm from here.

Patna:A Flybig flight from Patna to Guwahati was cancelled at the last minute due to alleged fuel leak at Patna airport on Tuesday, leaving passengers in the lurch. The number flg219 could not lift off from Patna airport at its scheduled time, 6.15 pm. After getting information about the cancellation of the plane, the passengers became agitated and created a ruckus.

The plane arrived at Patna airport at around 5:45 pm on Tuesday evening and could not take off at the scheduled 6:15 pm because of fuel leak. The said flight is a daily flight on this route and with no alternative choice, passengers were accommodated in different hotels in Patna.

The plane was to carry 66 passengers who after getting their boarding passes were made to wait in the waiting room. They were informed about the technical issue after hours, which led to a commotion. Many travellers were en route to Kamakhya temple in Guwahati, while some students had to take exams.

The aeroplane is currently lodged at Patna airport, where a team of engineers have been called to fix it. According to the airline staff, the leakage from the engine will be fixed soon. The flight is expected to take off today.
