Dausa plastic godown catches fire, 12 fire tenders trying to douse flames

At least 12 fire tenders have been pressed into service to control the blaze. Firemen are still struggling to douse the flames. At least four to five people are feared trapped in the plastic godown.

A tanker laden with chemicals was suspected to be one of the reasons behind the fire. Plastic plates and glasses were stockpiled at the godown where four to five workers were likely to have been trapped, police sources said. Efforts are on to douse the flames at the earliest, they added.

Dausa District CollectorQamar ul Zaman Choudhary, SP Rajkumar Gupta, Additional District Collector R K Meena, RS MP Kirori Lal Meena, and several others have been camping at the site. The fire tenders have been drawn from Jaipur, Bharatpur, Dausa, and Bandikui. But so far, firemen were unsuccessful in dousing the flames. In the backside of the godown, an IOC pipeline is located. Luckily, the flames have not spread to that area, sources added.
