The movement started from Punjab and moved towards Delhi. The Haryana government tried its best to stop the farmers. However, the farmers went ahead and reached the Delhi borders and camped at Singhu and Tikri border. The farmers from Western Uttar Pradesh camped at the Ghazipur border.

Then the government commenced talks with the farmers, but even after several rounds of discussions, things did not work out.
