Meerut (Uttar Pradesh): BJP's firebrand leader and MLA from Sardhana in Meerut, while taking a dig at those claiming to have got tickets, said that even Union Home Minister Amit Shah does not know from which seat he will contest elections. A 58-second video of the BJP MLA's speech has gone viral on social media.
"I know of people roaming in Sardhana area claiming that they have got tickets. Some people who are not in the party are also claiming their ticket in the area. I know of some who even said they are 200% sure. Don't know who has put the ticket in their pocket. Right now even Amit Shah does not know for which seat he will get a ticket. This isn't a bus ticket and those people who make such claims of having got a ticket will be thrown out from the party. I did not get a ticket so easily, it was due to my participation in several rallies and big conferences that I earned it," the Sardhana MLA said, adding that a large number of buses used to go to the conference from each village of Chaubisi.
