Vellore (Tamilnadu): While flights remain suspended amid Covid-19 pandemic, NEET aspirants residing in Oman have been in anguish. Government of India has been requested by students and their parents from Oman to establish NEET exam centres in the country.
A request was sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Embassy in Oman seeking the conduct of the NEET exam in Oman via email on July 26. The tentative dates announced by Union Government for the exams are on September 11, 12.
"It is difficult to come to India in the current situation. NEET centres have been established in Dubai and Kuwait for students to write exams. We cannot travel because of corona restrictions, "said one of the parents. The parent urged setting up of exam centre in Oman similar to Dubai and Kuwait.
