Eco-friendly tricolour badges and rakhis made from Areca leaves

A Mangaluru based firm known for making products that can be reduced, reused & recycled has made tricolour badges and rakhis using Areca leaf for Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan. Also, these products are eco-friendly in nature and grow into plants on disposal.

Mangaluru (Karnataka):A Mangaluru based firm known for making products that can be reduced, reused & recycled has made tricolour badges and rakhis using Areca leaf for Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan. The firm is well known for producing environmental friendly materials, especially for festivals and other rituals, comprising of environmental supplements and plant-growing materials. Eco friendly products are made this time for Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan.

An eco-lover, Nitin Vas is the one who has introduced this eco-friendly products to the market. Earlier a plant-growing mask manufactured by the company had become internationally renowned. Vas has now launched a special product for the Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan, by preparing a tricolor flag badge and Rakhi by using Areca leaf sheath. Previously, he was making these products using papers, but now, for the first time he has prepared them using Areca leaf sheath.

Now what makes these products unique is that seeds of tomato, basil and brinjal are placed inside the Badge and Rakhi, and hence when they are disposed, plants will grow through it. The tricolor badge and Rakhi are priced Rs 10 and Rs 35 respectively and both the products are being sold online.
