New Delhi:Delhi's event manager Arjun Jain on Wednesday filed a petition in the Delhi High Court seeking stay on broadcasting his name by a private news channel in the cruise ship drug case. The bench of Justice Rekha Palli is scheduled to hear the matter on Thursday.

In a petition Arjun said "I have not received any summons from the Narcotics Control Bureau, but the concerned news channel is broadcasting news that I was involved in the cruise ship drug case."

During the hearing, the counsel appearing for the news channel said that the channel will not publish or broadcast anything about the petitioner till tomorrow.

So far 17 accused have been arrested in the cruise ship drug case of Mumbai including Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan, who is currently in the custody of NCB. The strings of these organizers are connected with the Delhi Event Management Company.

The operation followed a tip-off on the proposed rave party that was planned aboard a cruise ship bound on a Mumbai-Goa voyage, setting sail from the International Cruise Terminal, Mumbai. The advertisement of the party was reportedly disseminated via social media with the ticket rate pegged at Rs 75,000 per person.

To avoid detection, the NCB sleuths booked themselves on that cruise as ordinary passengers and they soon found some of their co-passengers consuming drugs. Different drugs like MDMA, ecstasy, cocaine, MD (mephedrone) and charas were recovered from them during the raid.
