Delhi Police chief interrogates 7 suspects arrested in terror plot

Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana interrogated seven suspects, including two Zeeshan and Osama who were allegedly trained by Pakistan’s ISI, at the Special Cell’s office in Lodhi Colony, late night on Monday. All the suspects were held in connection with a terror plot.

New Delhi: Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana interrogated seven suspects, including two Zeeshan and Osama who were allegedly trained by Pakistan's ISI, at the Special Cell’s office in Lodhi Colony, late night on Monday. All the suspects were held in connection with a terror plot.

Police Commissioner Asthana had reached the Special Cell office in Lodhi Colony at 8.45 pm to gather information about the Pakistan-based terrorist module, wherein he not only gathered information about these suspected terrorists but also interrogated them.

Police sources said that Rakesh Asthana was accompanied by Special Commissioner Neeraj Thakur and Special Cell's DCP Pramod Kushwaha interrogated the terror suspects for two hours.

The Delhi Police Special Cell earlier this month had arrested the suspects including two Pakistan-trained terrorists during a multi-state operation. The arrested suspects had planned to carry out targeted killings and bomb blasts across the country.
