New Delhi: The Delhi Police Cyber Cell on Tuesday busted a cyber fraud nexus and arrested 14 fraudsters from Jharkhand's Jamtara. The arrest of the fraudsters comes as a significant achievement for the Delhi Police as it has helped them solve 36 cases.
Reportedly, the cybercriminals had committed fraud to the tune of Rs 1 crore. Following an investigation, the police have also seized property worth Rs 2 crore and a vehicle worth Rs 20 lakh from the accused.
DCP Cyber Anyesh Roy, who has been investigating several cyber fraud cases in the national capital, came to know that it was gangs from Jamtara who were targeting the citizens of Delhi and NCR.
Based on this information, a team of the Delhi Cyber Cell carried out raids and arrested Ghulam Ansari alias Masterji and Altaf alias Rockstar. Further raids were conducted based on the inputs given by these two and twelve other fraudsters have also been arrested.

Currently, Delhi Police are carrying out further investigating and are probing the bank accounts of those arrested cybercriminals.
Recently, the Delhi Police Cyber cell had also busted a fake call centre in the Rohini area and arrested twelve people for allegedly duping innocent persons in the name of offering personal loans at low-interest rates under a government scheme.
