New Delhi:A person riding a bicycle died after being hit by a BMW car in the Mahipalpur area of the national capital on Sunday. The accident took place on Sunday morning when the car, bearing a VIP number plate, hit the cyclist, leading to his death. The police said they have arrested the car's driver and have also started an investigation in the case.
The deceased has been identified as Suvendu Chatterjee, 50, a resident of Gurugram. The police have not released the identity of the BMW driver. The cyclist succumbed to injuries after he was hit by the BMW car in the Mahipalpur area of Vasant Kunj on the Delhi-Gurugram expressway.
