New Delhi:The Delhi Police Crime Branch on Saturday took over the probe into the Rohini Court shoot-out incident in which gangster Jitender Mann, alias Gogi, and two others were killed. The incident took place at Room Number 207 of the court in northwest Delhi.
The post-mortem of the bodies of the three will be done at Ambedkar Hospital today amid tight security arrangements in the presence of the magistrate. Meanwhile, the Crime Branch would take Gogi's rival Sunil alias Tillu Tajpuriya into remand for questioning.
Gogi, who was involved in several criminal cases and jailed in Tihar, was being produced in court, when his rival group entered the premises disguised as lawyers, and opened fire at him. As a retaliation, the counterintelligence team of Delhi police opened fire on the assailants, in which two of them were killed. Though Gogi who had received five to six bullet injuries was rushed to a nearby hospital, he was declared brought dead by doctors.

Gogi was arrested in 2020 by the special cell of the Delhi police and at the time of his arrest, a reward of Rs8 lakh was announced on him by the Delhi Police. A gang war was going on for almost a decade between Gogi and gangster Sunil, a resident of Alipura. So far almost 20 murders have been carried out in this dreaded gang war.
