Agartala (Tripura): Top CPI(M) leader Pabitra Kar has once again come under the radar of Tripura police's crime branch unit for alleged inconsistencies in his existent property and sources of income. Kar was subjected to four hours long intensive grilling pertaining to these issues.

Sources in the police department said he was asked to appear before the police at the Crime Branch office located at Arundhati Nagar in Agartala, Tripura. Co-operating with the law authorities, Kar appeared before the police team investigating the case and answered the questions posed to him.

While coming out of the Crime Branch office, Kar said he was being harassed by the administration. "During the vigilance inquiry, I shared all my sources of income and details of the property I own. Later, the investigation was handed over to the Crime Branch. A team raided my house and after an eleven hours long operation they could trace nothing", said Kar.

"The questions are repetitive. This is like a merry-go-round. They asked me to come and I am here to participate in their interrogation", the former Left minister added.
