"The society must change. Rape cases will decrease only after families come forward in monitoring, not by the involvement of police or court. No family wants their son to get jailed under the POCSO act," he said.

He also talked about the implementation of a checklist for women according to the Indian culture to control crime against them where they are not allowed to visit pubs, bars and restaurants and should celebrate only traditional festivals and wear traditional attires.

AP Singh also said that women should not develop intimacy which might end up in the complaints of rape. "If people will celebrate love-day, hug-day, kiss-day then intimacy will be developed which will turn into complaints of rape. Under these circumstances neither the Chief Minister nor Women's Commission or police can help control crimes," he said.

AP Singh also appealed for the constitution of a men's commission to keep a check on the crime against them. Talking about defending the accused of the Nirbhaya case, he said that the court even provides a lawyer to terrorists as without a defence lawyer court proceedings are not possible. "Every crime has a punishment so that the judgement gives a clear message to the society but even after sentencing harsh punishments rape cases have not decreased in the country," he added.
