Jaipur:Eleven cases of the new Kappa variant of COVID-19 have been detected in Rajasthan, Health Minister Raghu Sharma said on Tuesday. This development has set the government thinking even as the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state is witnessing a noticeable decline. On Tuesday, Rajasthan reported 28 new COVID-19 cases.
Of the 11 Kappa cases, four cases are from Alwar and Jaipur each, two are reported from Barmer and one from Bhilwara, Sharma said, adding their genome sequencing test reports were obtained from labs in Delhi and Jaipur's Sawai Man Singh Hospital.
